My name is Tim Fusina and I founded Collegiate Coaching Consulting to help coaches and administrators navigate one of the most challenging aspects of our profession: career advancement.
Throughout my career in intercollegiate athletics, I have seen talented coaches miss opportunities because they lacked preparation, clear messaging, guidance or access to the right network. I created this company to provide coaches and administrators with the support, strategy and confidence that can open doors throughout their careers.

Collegiate Coaching Consulting was founded by Tim Fusina, an experienced collegiate athletics leader who has spent his career helping programs, coaches, and student-athletes achieve success both on and off the field.
Tim currently serves as Director of Athletics at Waynesburg University, where he oversees 23 varsity sports, supervises head coaches and administrative staff, manages departmental budgets, leads fundraising initiatives, and supports an athletic department that plays a significant role in institutional enrollment and student success. He has successfully hired numerous head coaches and assistant coaches across multiple sports and has firsthand knowledge of what institutions seek throughout the hiring process.
In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Tim has more than a decade of head coaching experience at the NCAA Division III level. Throughout his coaching career, he has led programs at Waynesburg University, California Lutheran University, and Centenary University.
What makes Tim's perspective unique is his experience on both sides of the hiring table.
As a coach, he understands the challenges of pursuing new opportunities, preparing application materials, building professional networks, and interviewing for highly competitive positions. As an athletic director, he evaluates candidates, reviews resumes, conducts interviews, and makes hiring decisions that impact the future of athletic departments and institutions.
Success in coaching requires more than knowledge of the game. Today's coaches must effectively communicate their leadership philosophy, build meaningful professional relationships, and position themselves for advancement opportunities.
Tim's professional involvement extends well beyond campus. He has an extensive network due to his involvement with the NCAA Men's Basketball Rules Committee, participates in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Congress and has worked on multiple other NCAA and NABC committees focused on the advancement of collegiate athletics. These experiences provide valuable insight into the evolving landscape of intercollegiate athletics and the opportunities available to coaches and administrators.
